Born in Camberwell (South-East London), Cameron has studied violin since the age of 6, piano since the age of 10 and has been self-taught on guitar since the age of 11, earning a music scholarship to Alleyn’s School in 2008. From there, he achieved Grade 8 Distinction in violin at 13 and then again in piano at 15. He performed Saint-Saens Violin Concerto No.3 with the Dulwich Youth Orchestra at age 14 and Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Alleyn’s School Orchestra at 18, winning the Alleyn’s Piano Prize that same year with a performance of Chopin’s Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, op. 23 after being runner-up two years previous with his own piano composition. He performed with The National Children’s Orchestra, The Dulwich Youth Orchestra and studied chamber music at Music Works as well as frequently performing as an accompanist, live performer at weddings, book launches, and commercial events on piano and guitar, also as an arranger and performer for various plays and live events, sometimes with original composition. 


He then attended The University of Manchester, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music with an 85% in his Final Performance module recital on piano in a performance that included works by Schubert, Prokofiev, Szymanowski and Shostakovich. During this time he also co-founded and played lead guitar in a Manchester-based disco-rock band that played sold-out shows at Soup Kitchen and Manchester Academy 3. Since returning to London, he has written with and recorded for various singers, rappers, producers and executives at studios that include Abbey Road, Church Studios and Young Turks, with two songs he co-wrote, produced and arranged and also performed as a guitarist, keyboardist and violinist currently having over 200,000 streams on Spotify. He is currently performing with two South London-based bands, one of which he joined as lead guitarist for a U.K. tour and has performed with at London venues that include Brixton Electric, Village Underground and Tate Britain, festivals that include End of the Road and All Points East, has filmed live recordings with for NTS and Dazed, had singles featured on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 6, had a music video with 120,000 views on YouTube and a 5 star review from The Times for a headline live performance in Brixton. 


As a teacher, he has worked independently since 2019 teaching piano, violin and guitar to Grade 8 standard as well as Grade 5 music theory. He has worked with Enhui Music, teaching students from beginner to Grade 5 standard, focusing on technical development from early age, as well as Fun-Keys 4 Kids, leading three South-London based primary school after-school keyboard clubs with classes of ten to fifteen students learning beginner pieces and basic music theory, and is currently represented as a teacher with Surrey Sound of Music and LMC as well as Herne Hill Studios. As a piano teacher, he has passed on his knowledge of learning in the classical discipline from his teachers growing up, Yuriko Murakami and Duncan Glenday, and as a guitar teacher, he uses his perfect pitch, wide knowledge of popular music and transcription skills to teach students any song they’d like to learn in fun and inventive ways.
